Agri Buzz: Cumulative rainfall this season up 8% compared to Long Period Average

According to a latest update from India Meteorological Department or IMD, the weekly cumulative All India Rainfall (ending on 03rd September) in % departure from its long period average (LPA) is +48%. All India Seasonal cumulative rainfall % departure during this year?s Monsoon Season Rainfall (01st June to 03rd September 2025) is 8%. For coming week i.e. 11 to 17 September 2025, the IMD expects the monsoon trough at mean sea level is likely to run near its normal or north of its normal position at mean sea level during most days of the week. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very falls is likely over most parts of northeast & east India (especially Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya) during many days of the week.
