Global Sugar futures are witnessing tentative moves amid hopes of elevated supplies. Raw Sugar futures fell to one-month low near 16 cents per pound. Unica reported that Brazil's Center-South sugar output in the first half of August rose by 16% y/y to 3,615 MT. The percentage of sugarcane crushed for sugar by Brazil's sugar mills in the first half of August increased to 55% from 49.15% the same time last year. Market also eyed prospects for higher sugar exports from India. National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories has projected that India's 2025/26 sugar production would spike 19% y/y to 35 MMT, on larger cane acreage and robust monsoon rainfall.
