Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions rise slightly

Precious metals speculators slightly increased their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 60620 contracts in the data reported through July 22, 2025. This was a weekly rise of 1172 net contracts and pulled net longs up further from a two-week low.
