Japan?s annual inflation slowed to 3.3% in June 2025, down from 3.5% in May, marking its lowest level since last November, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs & Communications. The moderation was led by a sharp cooling in energy costs, with electricity and gas price growth easing to 5.5% and 2.7%, respectively. Prices also softened across transport, healthcare, and household goods. Core inflation aligned with the headline rate at 3.3%, hitting a three-month low, while the monthly CPI rose a modest 0.1%.
