Copper fell sharply in volatile trades ahead of the weekend. The overall mood in equities was mixed. In Asia, Chinese Shanghai Composite index ended flat. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.46%. Japanese NIKEEI eased 0.19%. European stocks stayed supported in hopes of the US-EU trade deal. Yesterday, the Dow added 0.4% despite tariff jitters. COMEX Copper has been failing to sustain on rallies after hitting record highs near $5.90 per pound earlier this week. The metal currently trades down 1.60% at $5.50 per pound. MCX Copper is trading at Rs 881.25 per kg, down 0.51% on the day after testing Rs 880 per kg.
