Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions slide

Precious metals speculators cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 62974 contracts in the data reported through June 24, 2025. This was a weekly slide of 4200 net contracts and pulled net longs down from to four-year high.
