Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund or IMF has stated that there has been some easing of trade tensions in last couple of months, but trade policy uncertainty remains very high. Incoming data from the first half of the year confirm that trade policy uncertainty, together with geopolitical tensions, are slowing economic activity globally.
