Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative positions tumble to three week low

Precious metals speculators yet again sharply cut their net long positions in the Gold futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 238434 contracts in the data reported through April 1 2025, falling by 11362 contracts from the previous week. The net longs have dipped to three week low following this tumble.
