Commodities Buzz: Gold net speculative long positions spike after recent fall

Precious metals speculators increased their net long positions in the Gold futures markets yet again, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 250338 contracts in the data reported through November 26, 2024, gaining by 15971 contracts from the previous week. The net longs have bounced from a seven month low.
