Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions see sharp spike

Precious metals speculators continue to raise their net long positions in the Silver futures markets further last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 60770 contracts in the data reported through June 3, 2025. This was a weekly spike of 7758 net contracts and kept net longs near two month high.
