Australia's current account deficit shrank to AUD 14.7 billion in Q1 2025 from a revised AUD 16.3 billion in Q4 2024. This marked the eighth consecutive quarter of deficit. The goods and services surplus slipped slightly to AUD 5.2 billion, mainly due to a wider net services deficit of AUD 10.2 billion. The net secondary income deficit rose to AUD 0.5 billion, while the net primary income deficit improved to AUD 19.4 billion from AUD 21.6 billion.
