Silver falls amid choppy moves, MCX futures off half a percent

30-May-2025 | 12:01
Silver futures slipped sharply today, giving up the gains seen in last session. The commodity has been moving in a sideways patter over last few days after easing from a seven-week high near $34 per ounce in last week. The broadly supportive undertone in equities capped losses but gains were limited for the metal amid worries over trade uncertainty and copper movement in Copper prices. COMEX Silver futures currently trade at $33.21 per ounce, down 0.70% on the day and are on track to record a flat movement for May following a 5% correction in previous month. MCX Silver futures are currently trading at Rs 97320 per kg, down 0.52% on the day after testing a low of Rs 96800 earlier in the session.
