Economic Buzz: France's trade deficit narrows to ?7.1 billion in November

France's trade deficit shrank to ?7.1 billion in November 2024, the smallest in four months, from ?7.5 billion in October. Exports rose 2.9 percent to ?50.1 billion, driven by natural hydrocarbons, extractive industry products, electricity, waste, and transport equipment. Export growth was recorded in the European Union, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, while exports to America declined. Imports grew at a slower 1.8 percent to ?57.2 billion, led by transport equipment and agri-food products, with increases across all major regions, including the European Union, Africa, America, the Middle East, and Asia.
