NSE SME Maitreya Medicare lists at premium

Shares of Maitreya Medicare were quoting at Rs 154.45 on the NSE, a premium of 88.35% compared with the issue price of Rs 82.

The scrip was listed at Rs 162.55, up 98.23% over the initial public offer (IPO) price. The stock was currently frozen in a lower limit of 5% over its listing price.

The counter hit a high of Rs 164 and a low of Rs 154.45. About 4.99 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the counter.

Maitreya Medicare's IPO was subscribed 298 times. The issue opened for bidding on 27 October 2023 and it closed on 1 November 2023. The price band of the IPO was set at Rs 78 to Rs 82 per share.

The IPO comprised fresh issue of 18,16,000 shares. The promoter and promoter shareholding diluted to 73.20% from 100% pre-IPO.

The company intends to utilize the net proceeds for Making investment through equity in the subsidiary named “Maitreya Hospital” for setting up hospital at Valsad, Gujarat and general corporate purposes, redemption of part of issued non-convertible redeemable preference shares, funding the working capital requirements of the company and general corporate purposes.

Maitreya Medicare provides multi-disciplinary integrated healthcare services, with a focus on primary secondary & tertiary care. The company offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services across over 18 specialities and super specialities, including Cardiology, Urology, Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Spine Surgery, Nephrology including Dialysis, Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery including joint replacements and Arthroscopic surgeries, Gynecology & High-Risk Obstetrics, Hepatocellular Billary Surgery, Critical Care Medicine. The company has total 375 personnel.

The company recorded revenue from operations of Rs 24.84 crore and net profit of Rs 25.40 crore for the period as on 30 September 2023.
